Tactical Shotgun
If you want to get up real close and personal with players on the battlefield then the Tactical Shotgun is the weapon for you. With just a single shot you can slice off a huge chunk of a rival’s health, and swiftly put them down with a second.
Assault Rifle
The Assault Rifle is great for mid-ranged combat. If you can get your hands on an Epic or Legendary tiered one, then you have some serious firepower behind you. These rarities can be pretty hard to find, and usually come in juicy Loot Crates.
Drum Gun
The Drum Gun was one of the most wildly overpowered weapons in the game for a long time. For its sins it was thrown in The Vault, after players complained about the fact it could shred structures and body armour in seconds. It has currently returned to the game, but with toned down stopping power.
Scoped Assault Rifle
Scoped Assault Rifles come in two flavours – Rare and Epic. In Season Eight they were given a little bit of a kick to help them compete against some of the other stronger weapons out there on the battlefield, and since then they have become one of the favourites for Fortnite Battle Royale fans.
Heavy Assault Rifle
The Heavy Assault Rifle is a monster of a gun in Fortnite Battle Royale. It can turn buildings, enemies and vehicles into mulch in a matter of seconds, but you need to play it careful when using it, utilising short, precise bursts of fire. Oh, and the slow reload times leave you open to taking damage.
Suppressed SMG
The Suppressed SMG was sent to The Vault back in Season 6 but brought back during Season 7. As it stands this is the only SMG weapon in the game after the Compact SMG got kicked to The Vault in Season 9. It is a solid weapon with considerable stopping power at most ranges.
Mini-Gun
A lot of players love the Mini-Gun in Fortnite Battle Royale, because it is great for tearing down big structures opponents build. If you get too carried away with spraying bullets everywhere at a pack of enemies, all one of them has to do is find cover and take you out with a headshot.
Supressed Sniper Rifle
The Suppressed Sniper Rifle is a thing of beauty, terror in the world of Fortnite Battle Royale. While not quite as powerful as the monstrous Heavy Sniper Rifle, it is still a single round takedown weapon if you can nail that perfect shot. And the fact that it has got a silencer makes it all the scarier.
Hand Cannon
The Hand Cannon is one hell of a pistol. It has got insane stopping power, even though this was paired back when the developers tweaked the weapon for a patch released during Season 7.
