Pokemon Camphrier Town Walkthrough
Few towns in the Kalos region are as old as Camphrier Town. Times have been better within its crumbling walls, but the townspeople are desperate to win you over and bring flocks of tourists back to their cobbled streets and empty castle keep.
Step 1
Enter the very first cottage you see in Camphrier Town for a surprising dose of modern technology. A group of gifted computer buffs are keeping a powerful machine running here. Speak with Cassius, who runs the PC storage system, to learn that the contraption is actually the server on which your PC boxes are stored. Cassius gladly tells you all about PC boxes and one of the girls gives you TM46 Thief just for stopping by.
Step 2
Speak to the man in the suit in the Pokemon Centre and he will introduce himself as the official Name Rater. This mysterious man gets a thrill out of critiquing the nicknames that you have given to your Pokemon. The Name Rater also has the power to change your Pokemon’s nicknames if you like.
Step 3
Once you are done talking to the Name Rater, move on to talk to other locals around Camphrier Town. You never know who you will meet. Talk to everyone, and you will receive lots of neat gifts, including an ultra ball, a berry juice and a sweet heart.
Step 4
Walk the grassy path that stretches south beyond the town’s wall, and you will discover a star piece at the end. This valuable item can be sold for some quick prize money at stores, giving you extra funds for Poke Mart items and other purchases.
Step 5
Take a moment to investigate Hotel Camphrier, which lies just west of the Pokemon Centre. This impressive establishment may be short staffed, but a rising star in the lobby will hand you a valuable full heal.
Step 6
While exploring the hotel, sprint upstairs to find none other than Mr Bonding waiting in one of the second-floor rooms. The friendly fellow grants you a new O-Power – Sp. Atk Power and recounts the advantages that O-Powers can bestow.
Step 7
A man in the cottage near Camphrier Town’s west gate will give you a berry of your choice, provided that you can show him the type of Pokemon he is interested in seeing. If you don’t have the right type of Pokemon in your party, use the PC at the Pokemon Centre to swap one in. You can also get a sweet heart here from a real sweetheart of a girl.
Step 8
Your final stop is Shabboneau Castle, which stands at the north end of town. Cross the drawbridge and head inside to find Shauna speaking with the castle caretaker. Unfortunately, the man has no idea what mega evolution might be, despite Professor Sycamore hoping that you would find out more here. Before you can question him further, the castle caretaker is called away to some sort of crisis on Route 7.
Step 9
You might not have learned anything new about mega evolution, but your trip to Shabboneau Castle isn’t a total loss. Go upstairs to find a valuable escape rope on the castle’s second floor. This handy item lets you instantly escape back to the entrance of any cave or dungeon.
